Eduardo Ortega Prieto has been a lecturer in Labour Law at this chair of the University of Barcelona, and also lecturer in the same subject at the School of Legal Practice of the Barcelona Bar Association.
He is the author of numerous books and works -more than thirty- on Labour Law, covering many different aspects of this subject: the Workers’ Statute and its subsequent amendments and revisions; wages; certain special employment relationships (senior managers, commercial agents/sales representatives); the many aspects that make up the Social Security System in Spain (affiliation and contributions, pensions, successive reforms of the system, etc.); practical manuals on a variety of subjects, etc.
His professional biography is completed with numerous articles published in different magazines – general and specialised – as well as presentations at numerous congresses, seminars, courses and conferences.

As for his professional career, he began his career in 1991 in the family law firm CONDOMINES ABOGADOS. In 1999 he founded the law and economics firm DEYFIN. In 2013, due to certain structural changes, he contributed to the transformation of DEYFIN into ESTUDIO LEGAL INLEY. In
2017, together with his current partners, he founded ORTEGA-CONDOMINES ABOGADOS.

His professional experience covers the different areas of labour law advice to companies in a wide range of fields, sectors and sizes. His specialities range from collective bargaining – collective agreements, company agreements or pacts, etc., through corporate reorganisations and production decentralisations, to restructuring and litigation assistance in all courts of the social jurisdictional order. In short, it provides comprehensive and recurrent employment advice to companies and legal entities.
He is the author of various legal works, including the collection “Todo Contratación Laboral” (CISS – Wolters Kluwer España), an annual work whose first edition dates back to 1997, “La Reforma Laboral 2012” (CISS – Wolters Kluwer España) and “La Pensión de Jubilación” (Editorial Deusto.) He is a regular contributor to the business daily Expansión and Onda Cero Radio Cataluña. He is a member of the Spanish and Argentinean Bar, where he practised in the field of Private Law until he moved to Spain to study for a Master in Business Law at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, 2005-2006. He is a professor of practice of Commercial Law at ESADE – Ramón Llull University, Barcelona, and a researcher at the Instituto Autónomo de Derecho Contable (Autonomous Institute of Accounting Law) in Buenos Aires.
